Timo wins the Sports Class at the 2013 King Mountain Hang Gliding Championships with the North Wing Liberty!  He also finished 5th in the Open Class, great results against a field of very good pilots and topless gliders flying in "Big Air" mountain conditions!

Timo offers some comments about his flights with the Liberty:
"The glider performed amazingly well under King Mountain conditions: We flew in 30 knots winds.  20mph on the ground up to 38mph at 16k.  I was able to penetrate through the wind to maintain position in lift, as well as have a safe landing in strong desert wind conditions.  I was surprised how well it takes gusts.  I loaded up the glider quite a bit and while other pilots reported major turbulence I only noticed minor bumps.  It was the right glider for me at this time under these conditions.  And it was a whole week of fun flying."

Fun Winter Flight   with the Liberty! Enjoy this late-winter flight with the North Wing Liberty at Ellenville, New York.  The wing-mounted video camera provides a nice look at the sleek Liberty sail under various flight conditions. Notes from a Liberty pilot...
"I flew the Liberty last week, right after the lower wire change off Sandia Crest (10,678').  I had one of the best flights in years, flying the Liberty for two hours to over 18K in smooth thermals.  Yesterday afternoon I had another good one, not quite as high but in a strong south head wind.  The glider does pretty good in glide.  Handling is connected and balanced...
All in all, I think you have a good H3 package in the Liberty.  Landings are easy, as is setting up an approach with its good pilot feedback.  The sail looks good in all speeds so far."    Mel Glantz
